THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God, and inerrant in the original manuscripts. We believe it is the supreme and final authority for all Christian faith and conduct.
GOD
We believe there is one God, infinitely perfect in all of His attributes. We believe God eternally exists in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, and His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.
SALVATION
We believe that a person is saved by God’s grace alone, made possible through the shed blood of Christ. We believe that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless born again by the Holy
Spirit through God’s Word.
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe that God expects every believer to live a life of obedience to Him. We believe that the believers goal is to be conformed to the image of Christ. We believe that all believers should be devoted to the Lord in bible study, church fellowship, prayer, witnessing and missions.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a devine third person of the Trinity, sent to convict the world, guiding the believer into truth, interceding in prayer, comforting in need, and filling the believer for a life of holiness and victory. We believe He empowers for witness and service, and gives enabling gifts according to the will of God.
HUMAN SEXUALITY
Tri-State Broadcasting’s foundation for understanding human sexuality is rooted in the Bible. In Genesis 1:27 it says “And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him: male and female He created them.
In Genesis 2:24 it says “For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
We affirm that humanity came from the hand of God with only two sexual distinctions male and female — both in the image of God, and emerging from one flesh with the unique physical capacity to reunite as one flesh in complementarity within a marriage. God’s creation design and intent for marriage as expressed in Genesis 2 is therefore exclusively between one man and one woman. We affirm the worth and relevance of human gender and sexuality, and of sexual intimacy as a distinctive of marriage. Based on Leviticus 18 non-marital sex, homosexual sex, same-sex romantic relationships, and gender identification incongruent with one’s birth-sex all violate God’s intention for human relationships. Such practices misrepresent the nature of God Himself, and therefore are sinful under any circumstance.
